Gauting is a municipality with approximately 20,000 residents and offers a wide variety of activities. The town is characterized by its high recreational value due to its proximity to Lake Starnberg, golf courses in the Starnberg district, and over 100 recreational and sports clubs within the municipal area.
The Munich International School (MIS), located about 9 km away as the crow flies, is easily accessible. Gauting is home to a high school, a secondary school, a middle school, several elementary schools, and a public elementary school.
In the Gauting-Buchendorf neighborhood, there is a farm store, a country inn with a beer garden and lodging, a curling club, a soccer field, and a kindergarten—all within easy walking distance. The Kiefl Garden Center, featuring a deli section and a café, is located 1 km away.
Public transportation: The Fürstenried West (U3) and Großhadern (U6) subway stations are just a few minutes away by car. The same goes for the KIM business park and the Gauting S-Bahn station (Line S6). The Zentrum of Gauting is about 3 km away and can be reached by bike via a bike path. From Buchendorf, bike paths lead to nearby beer gardens, to Starnberg and into town, as well as to the Fürstenried-West subway station.
